Arsenal wins Chelsea PK (4 - 1): LESSONS FROM THE FA COMMUNITY SHIELD VICTORY
Arsenal wins Chelsea 1(4) - 1(1) on penalties to claim the community Shield for the third time in four years. Victor Moses gave Chelsea the lead after halftime before Sead Kolasinac 81st minute equalizer. These are some of the lessons we learnt from Arsenal's FA Community Shield
win over Chelsea.
Lessons we learnt as Arsenal wins Chelsea
Arsenal's New Signings performed better than Chelsea's New Signings.
Arsenal's new signings Sead Kolasinac and Alex Lacazette had a good
outing today. In the 22nd minute, Lacazette combined well
with Hector
Bellerin and Danny Welbeck but his shot hit the woodwork.
Kolasinac also got the equalizer for Arsenal from a Granit Xhaka free
kick. Their display in today's match will definitely raise a lot of
hope for Arsenal fans, the same cannot be said about Chelsea new
signings. We all saw Morata miss from the spot and also saw how
Kolasinac moved past Anthonio Rudiger to head home the equalizer for
Arsenal. Looks like a good business in the Summer from Le Professor.
2 Xhaka is Gold
Granit
Xhaka dictated the play today. He completed 90% of his passes and
also set up the equalizer. His
game has since improved. Courtois
diving save from his Thunderbolt was Spectacular. When
he plays well, Arsenal plays well.
3 Chelsea miss Diego Costa
It
is strange to watch Chelsea without Diego Costa. He was an important
player for them last season. We all know Morata is very good. Chelsea
fans will simply hope that it will not take him too long to start
scoring goals.
